A Deathwatch kill team preparing for extraction after their retrieval of Magos bioligis Zardos Vyakai, with Commissar Falco Sander and his remaining guardsmen,
during the dissension of Hive fleet Splinter Dagon on moon Tantalus.

"what is courage then? Is it the response of fight over fight when danger looms sudden and unexpected?
No, such mere animal instinct! Courage rather is the willfull scorn of death, and the deliberate acceptance of suffering,
for honour, for duty, or for the Emperor.
Beyond this,the true glory
--this is the will to face horror, to turn death upon itself,
to strangle nightmare with bare hands, and to do it unsung and unknown for the salvation of mankind."

-Inquisitor Silas Marr, Reflections on a Glass Darkly-

The linework and graphics are absolutely epic.

But, here goes the spoon of dirt - those effects of fire and mist totally break up the piece due to them being done in a completely other technique, blurred, undefined and blooming all over those precious lines with the glaring white. Given the whole comic-book feel of the entire peace, I'd make those effects graphic and outlined as well.

Superb. Evocative. I find myself peering over and over again to extract the details and store them in my mind.
